Michael Jacobson, MD grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania. He attended, for undergraduate studies, the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated summa cum laude and was elected Phi Beta Kappa. Later he enrolled in medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

Dr. Jacobson completed his residency in the Department of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 2008. Since that time he has been practicing medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Jacobson is fully board certified in Dermatology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology.

He is currently completing a Procedural Dermatology Fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at The State University of New York Downstate School of Medicine under the tutelage of Dr. Daniel Siegel.

In his free time, Dr. Jacobson enjoys skiing, cycling, and cooking as well as spending time with his wife and two young children.
